The F-86 Sabre, a symbol of technological advancement and strategic brilliance, was crucial in achieving air supremacy over Korea, preventing the communists from intervening on the battlefield. The "Sabre Jet," Produced by North American Aviation, is best known as the United States' first swept-wing fighter that could counter the Soviet MiG-15 in high-speed dogfights in the skies over "MiG Alley" during the Korean War (1950–1953). We pay tribute to the jet and the brave personnel who, with their courage and skill, ushered in the modern era of air combat by engaging in some of the earliest jet-to-jet battles in history.
